Individuals magazine adverts

We incorporated the image on our group magazine advert she used as we believed it was very successful. Its edgy and different which we believed it will promote to the audience that the advert is in the indie genre. It also promotes Nico off well. We also incorporated the itunes symbol on our group magazine advert as we believed it made the magazine advert more realistic and effective.

This is Domenico's advert, we believed that the main strength on this advert was the typography as its conventional to the indie genre and the king image as it clearly promotes to the audience the album name 'king' However the weakness with this magazine advert as there isn't enough information on the advert meaning that is doesn't promote our artist effectively and audiences wouldn't know about important information and what the advert is promoting. The colour scheme is also ineffective, the colours yellow and green don't go together therefore audience wont be drawn in as its not visually appealing.
The one thing we incorporated from Dominicos magazine advert to our group advert was
Domenicos layout of 'Nico Johnson' He placed the name quite at the top in bold in which we wanted to do for our final advert so that it promotes to the audience well.

This is Ambers magazine advert. We believed it was the most successful advert out of the four as it was the most realistic and conventional to the indie genre. We liked the use of the colour red as the information stood out from the page which will draw audiences in. We also like the information at the bottom of the page as it informed audiences about the artist extremely way. However the weakness with this advert was the typography of 'nico johnson' we didnt feel it was bold enough which wont promote to the audience his name well enough. We also thought the layout was to complicated which isnt conventional to the indie genre.
We used this advert for our group advert and made small changes to it.
Group magazine advert
We didnt change much to Ambers advert as we thought it was already very successful and effective. The colour sheme of grey, white and red/pink was kept the same as we all believed these colours worked well together and made the magazine advert visually appealing therefore it will draw audiences in. The grey colouring is conventional to the indie genre it also connotes to how the artist is feeling, however the red colour subverts the genre meaning that a wider audience will be attracted to our advert. The pink colour also makes it more visually appealing and less dull meaning it will draw in more audiences.

The main change was the typography of 'Nico Johnson' as we thought the font was too plain. The font was taken from my magazine advert as it was more of a bold font so that Nico will be promoted more and stand out. It also made the advert look better.
We also added '#1 Album' to our group magazine advert. We done this so that it evened out the layout of our magazine advert and took up some room on our advert so that it looked more visually appealing. We also done it so that it promoted the artist better to the audience and made him look more of a strong indie artist.
In my opinion I believe that my advert conforms to the indie genre due to the grey colour and realistic relateable images used and also the simple layout however I believe our advert subverts to the indie genre due to the red/pink colour used as its a bright colour although this makes our advert more visually appealing and draws audiences in. It also links in with the image of the 'tattoo' I believe that it appeals to our target audience as its visually appealing and the realistic images used makes it relateable and the audience will be able to build a relationship with the audience and the artist.
I found working as a group to create a group magazine advert quite useful as we all put imputed many different ideas for our group advert and by creating an individual advert first we all had many successful ideas to add to our group advert making it more effective.
